Description
Molecules can be used as tracers for various quantities in various astronomical objects. The stability, variety, and ubiquity of Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) make them especially useful as these astronomical tools. In this work, the model ALPAHCAS is presented that accurately calculates the mid-infrared spectra of PAHs. These spectra are then used for various applications. One of these, being presented here, is the use of the 6.2 micron feature as a novel size tracer.
